The passage of time has not been kind to these watercolors made with fugitive pigments. They are based upon recollections of a world glimpsed from the window of a moving car whether it be moving at 65 m.p.h. across the United States on Route 80 or at a slightly lower speed on the narrow and slightly shabby B.Q.E. (Brooklyn-Queens Expressway).
