Our living situation had become inextricably bound with our friend Brian Frink during our last year at Illinois State University and in New York, we decided to  join him in a loft building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our life was challenging as we tried to carve out a live/work environment out of the ground floor loft we leased in one of the few cast-iron buildings in Brooklyn, the Tuttle building.
